Guaranty Trust Bank is the third biggest of the banks in Nigeria with their headquarters located at Victoria Island, Lagos.
Guaranty Trust Bank also known as GTB was registrated on January 17, 1990 by Central Bank of Nigeria and was incorporated in July 1990, as a private limited liability company wholly owned by Nigerian individuals and institutions.
It later began to operate as a universal bank in 2002 according to CBN definition of what a Univeral bank is.
GTB is well known in Nigeria has already expanded to Gambia, Ghana and Sierra Leone. These countries belong to the Eco zone. It has also expanded to the United Kingdom.
GTB is also now called GTBank and has a good rating by Fitch's.
